After the Children’s Museum, we took the train back to our hotel. Mikaela was so exhausted that she fell asleep between the time I picked her up to carry her through the subway turnstile and the doors shut and I sat down on the 1 train headed downtown. She slept though the entire 45 minute [...]

After the struggle with Alice’s Tea Cup yesterday, which was followed by a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art - at which Mikaela enjoyed seeing a lot of cool stuff, but got frustrated by the “no touching” rules - we decided that today would be all Mikaela’s choice.Â

Yesterday, we were joking with Mikaela, and she was saying that we were going to take a bus to New York. Turns out that she was right. Right now, we’re in a virtually empty Philadelphia airport terminal waiting for luggage to be transferred so that we can take a two-hour bus ride to LaGuardia [...]

Weather in New York has closed LaGuardia, and our plane was already low on fuel from circling for an hour. So we’re now on the ground in Philly - originally just for fuel, but now that LaGuardia is closed we’re probably stuck here until NY re-opens. The hotel was great - they’re [...]
