Moving to the ‘Burbs – Progress

Got word this morning that our offer on the house off of 129th and Switzer has been accepted.  We’ve got an inspection scheduled for Friday afternoon.  Assuming that goes well, we’ll be closing on February 23 and then moving the first weekend in March (we’ll use the week in-between to clean and perhaps do some painting before the furniture is moved in).  This has been pretty amazing – last time we bought a house, it took 6 months to get everything done.  This time, it’s more like 6 weeks.

We’ve also go the issue of selling our existing house worked out.  The buyers are flexible on their move-in date.  We should be closing on that deal about a week before we close on the new house, and the new folks will take possession as soon as we’re out.

I’ll bring my camera along and take some pictures on Friday during the inspection to post back here on the ‘blog.  Gotta go now – so much to get done in the next three weeks!
