We’ve known that Mikaela had weird tastes for a toddler for a long time – I mean, how many toddlers like to eat salad, and ask for broccoli instead of hamburger pizza. But tonight takes the cake (or the ice cream, as you soon shall see).
We had dinner with Grandma Ted and Zaydie Larry, and then Mikalea, MIriam, and Grandma Ted hung out while Zaydie Larry and I made a run to Best Buy to pick up a couple of things. While we were gone, Mikaela had dessert. She was going to have an ice cream cone (actually, rainbow sherbet), but Grandma Ted was out of cones, so she offered Mikaela her sherbet in a bowl. Mikaela decided that sounded good, so she sat down at the table with her spoon and a scoop of rainbow sherbet. Now here’s where it gets weird.
Next, Mikaela asked for a piece of cheese. Miriam unwrapped and handed to Mikaela a Kraft Single. Mikaela very carefully placed the cheese on top of her sherbet, tucking the sides of the cheese around the scoop of sherbet. And then she ate it. The whole thing. Cheese and rainbow sherbet together!
It reminds me of Cousin Greg’s Cap’n Crunch & black olives or steak with oreos (cream filling to make them stick to the steak).
