Second night of Chanukah was more relaxed. We made the mistake last night of mentioning that Chanukah meant we’d have a "party" for the next seven nights. Mikaela was calling for a party from the minute she walked back in the house. Our neighbor from up the street, Maggie and her sons Andrew and Baby Noah stopped by. They wanted to learn about Chanukah. So they joined us for candle lighting and I told the Chanukah story. After they left, Mikaela got to open her present for the night – a storybook from Grandma Ted and Zaydie Larry. She wasn’t really in a mood to listen to a story though – she wanted to dance in her tap shoes some more.
