Mikaela is starting to say short sentences, in addition to her favorite words (duck, OK, and mama). Here are a few of our favorites (with explanations):
1. Get you ball! – This was one of her first full sentences – she was telling Ted the dog to leave her alone and go play with his own ball instead of her apple.
2. Cookie broke. – First, Miriam and I each confirmed with the other that neither of us had given Mikaela a cookie. Then we realized that she had pushed a button on the remote control and interrupted Cookie Monster during an episode of Sesame Street.
