We’re Baaaaack

Hey all. Just a quick post so that everyone knows that we got home OK. The picture is of Mikaela, while we were waiting to board our flight home at LaGuardia airport. The flight itself was pretty uneventful – Mikaela was cranky for the first 20 minutes or so, but then the Benedryl kicked in and she slept for the majority of the flight. We’ve managed to get back to our normal schedule pretty quickly.

Mikaela seems to the in the midst of another developmental leap. She sings along with the ABC song now, and she speaks in sentences more and more often. She will occupy herself coloring with crayons for 15-20 minutes at a time (and most of the time, she draws on the paper instead of on the walls). She also picked up a new word in New York – thanks to the rain the last day. She refers to an umbrella as a “boo-ah”, and is pretty possessive of one once she gets her hands on it.
