So maybe you’ve been wondering why there have been so few blog updates here in the month of June. Just in case you’re curious, the answer is that I’ve been swamped with work.
Trial began in St. Louis on June 1 in two consolidated OSHA cases, stemming from fatal accidents involving falls from the Lexington Bridge in Kansas City. After two weeks of trial in St. Louis, we had a break and now Phase II of the hearing is being convened here in Kansas City for a week starting tomorrow. We’ll be heading back to St. Louis again at the end of July for at least a week (probably more like two weeks).
To the extent that such things can be determined, trial is going well so far. But we’ve still got a long way to go. Wish me luck!
