This is the first of what should be a few catch-up posts. On the day after Memorial Day, Mikaela officially completed Kindergarten. Here was the picture that we took of her on the morning of her first day:
And this is the picture taken on her last day of Kindergarten, May 26, 2009:
Since that day, she’s learned to do addition and subtraction. She learned grouping and how to organize data using charts. Her writing has improved remarkably. And Mikaela reads much better than she gives herself credit for. Overall, Mikaela had a terrific Kindergarten year, in no small part due to her wonderful teacher, Mrs. Hopkins.
