We headed to Deanna Rose Farmstead early on Saturday, in hopes of getting a visit in before the rain hit. The weather ended up almost perfect – warm, but not hot; a pleasant breeze, but not windy. It was pretty much our standard visit – feed the big goats (with Jonathan scolding them for not taking turns). Next, a few rides down the big barn slides. Then it was on to the pygmy goats, which the kids both like to bottle-feed. We skipped the usual long stop at the playground because the rain was threatening. Instead, we headed down to the milking barn and on to the pony rides. Both Mikeala and Jonathan got turns on the pony ride (a first for Jonathan).
We topped off the morning fun with lunch at “O’ Badongles” (as Jonathan calls it) Play Place, so that the kids could get in some running and climbing without rain.
