Mikaela’s been complaining about getting her hair brushed for quite some time now – he long hair was not only naturally curly, but also naturally tangly. About a week ago, she started asking to get her hair cut. To make sure she was really serious about it, I asked her every day for a week if she was really sure that she wanted to cut her hair short. Shear Madness cut off a ten-inch ponytail! It was long enough that Mikaela’s hair cut was free, in exchange for agreeing to donate the hair they cut off to Locks of Love, for use in making wigs for children who lose their hair due to cancer treatments and the like.
