Tonight, Mikaela graduated from Preschool. We started our celebration with dinner at Mikaela’s choice of restaurant - after wavering back and forth a bit, she settled on iHop over Sweet Tomatoes. The fun of the evening was almost derailed at dinner when, in the span of less than five minutes, Jonathan poked his thumb through the side of his styrofoam cup of milk; followed by Mikaela spilling her bright red cherry lemonade directly onto my pants.
Luckily, we finished dinner in time for me to run home and change my pants and still get back to the J in plenty of time for the Graduation. Mikaela was a bit frustrated by the bright lights on the stage, which made it hard for her to find us in the crowd. But she did a great job singing all of the graduation program songs loud and proud - complete with creative dramatics movements.
Jonathan was a bit of a challenge during the ceremony - it was late and a bit long for a 17-month-old. He was a handful, so we didn’t get a chance to take video. But we’re borrowing the video taken by the parents of some of Mikaela’s classmates, so I should be able to get some video posted in the next week or so.
