1. Mikaela is VERY excited about her new cousin. I showed her the picture of Sami yesterday, and she talked about Baby Sami all day long.
2. Mikaela has enjoyed music since she was a little baby, but now she’s started singing along. On songs like B’tzelem Elohim she sgins along with the “la la la” parts. But the other day she surprised me by singing along with the Elmo’s World song during Sesame Street and Baa Baa Black Sheep and Itsy Bitsy Spider in the car. Hopefully, genetics has graced her with her Mommy’s voice instead of her Daddy’s
3. A couple more Mikaela translations: “Nango” = Mango. “Nuk” = Milk.
4. Mikaela is developing into quite a polite little girl. She says please, thank you, you’re welcome, sorry, and excuse me.
5. She now counts up to twelve with assistance (she like to alternate numbers), but she also doesn’t seem to like to “perform” this trick.
6. Lately, just about anything becomes a hat to Mikaela. She’ll take almost any object, put it on her head, and announce that it’s a hat. In the bathtub, she’ll take a plastic container full of bubbles and put it on her head. We refer to that as her bubble hat, because that’s what’s left behind when she removes the container.
7. Now that we’re in the rainy part of Spring, Mikaela has discovered a new favorite activity. She LOVES stomping in puddles - she seeks them out whenever we go outside.
