I guess I probably should have put up a birthday post for myself last week. The cake in the picture was made (mostly) by Mikaela. All in all, turning 40 years old hasn’t been so bad. I have my health, a loving wife, a pair of wonderful children, and a terrific extended family. I had a great time with friends and family at the house for a birthday party on Saturday, the 29th (I was busy enjoying the party, so I didn’t take many pictures). And my Jayhawks got me my favorite birthday present on the 30th — a trip to the Final Four!
