Mikaela & the Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Today, we made our annual trek to Lawrence to watch the Jayhawks close out their Big12 regular season with the KU Hillel crew at the Bagels & Basketball event. It’s great to see firsthand again how much the program has grown.

But Mikaela’s favorite part is getting to hang out with the Jayhawk before the game. She had been looking forward to going to Lawrence to see the “Rock Chalk Jayhawk” all week. She was ready to go home once this picture was taken, but she stuck it out like a trooper for the entire game. Jonathan also had a blast, toddling all over Abe & Jake’s and making friends with anyone who let him climb up on a seat at their table. He wore himself out, and was sound asleep in the car on the way home. He barely woke up for a couple of minutes while being changed into his jammies, and was asleep again before his body went down in the crib.
