This post (and the accompanying picture) are more to document our little impromptu experiment than anything else. You see, the balloon in this picture is currently floating in our kitchen. It was purchased - and filled with helium - for Jonathan’s first birthday celebration. We’ve made no effort to help keep this balloon aloft. We just leave it alone, floating there in the kitchen.
This magic balloon was “launched” on December 9, 2007. It has remained aloft (so far) for 77 days!
I will continue periodically documenting this incredible phenomenon, until it drops down far enough that Jonathan can reach it, at which point it will have to be euthanized (I am, of course, referring to the balloon).
