Miriam made a family favorite for dinner tonight – french toast souffle (made with leftover challah) with mixed berries on top. Having just spent the afternoon before dinner getting the video in the post below ready, I had the video camera handy.
He had berries from head to toe. They were all over his highchair tray, in the seat of the highchair, under the seat cushion – everywhere. Miriam went upstairs and covered herself with a towel to protect herself from the berry assault for the trip upstairs to his bath.
If you listen carefully to audio portion of the video, you can even hear Jonathan’s first few words. He says “more”, “all done” and “bath”, and shows how he figured out all on his own to combine the baby sign for “more” (near the end of the video, when he touches his fingertips together) and then shakes his head “no”. That’s his way of saying that he’s had enough – “no more.” We never taught that to him, he just put the signs together himself.
I’ll be saving this recording for future use ![]()
