Mikaela’s Pre-K (don’t EVER let her catch you calling her class “preschool”) Thanksgiving Program was last week. Sorry, no video this year. Miriam had her hands full with Jonathan (seen here eagerly awaiting the start of the program), and I didn’t think I could handle juggling two cameras. But in the Photo Gallery you can see lots of pictures that I took during the program. We were treated to new renditions of many of the same songs that Mikaela sang at last year’s Thanksgiving Program. There were a few new things though. Each child was introduced at the beginning of the program by the Native American name they had chosen to have written on their headdress. Mikaela chose “Midnight Moon”. She also added her own unique choreography to some of the creative dramatic songs they sang. If you catch her in just the right mood, she might sing “I’m a Nut” for you (the linked version was recorded back in January).
Jonathan mostly just seemed in awe of the crowd. But he did enjoy checking out the animals in the room. The first thing his eyes caught were the fish, but he was quickly distracted from the fish by the guinea pig. The guinea pig mostly hid in his nest, but every once in a while, he would dash out of the nest and do a lap around the cage. Jonathan was very excited to catch a glimpse of the guinea pig taking a lap.
