The first day of Memorial Day Weekend started off with Miriam and I (and a sleeping Jonathan) doing Torah blessings in honor of our anniversary. Then we came home and relaxed for a few hours before heading over to Kelsyn and Amy Rooks’ for their annual Memorial Day Weekend BBQ.
Despite temperatures that never got above 80 degrees, we couldn’t keep the kids out of the pool. And only after three + hours of swimming were they ready to get out. It had been about a year since we’d seen most of that crowd, so it was especially good to see everyone again - and it was their first chance to meet Jonathan. We still have Memorial Day weekend gatherings to attend on Sunday and Monday - this is probably the busiest weekend on our social calendar in a very long time.
