I figured it was time to update Mikaela’s developmental progress:
1. She’s still a pretty adventurous eater, but she’s getting pickier. She still likes corn, but not so much that she hugs it anymore. She has oatmeal for breakfast most mornings, and helps to feed it to herself (she has a hard time getting it on her spoon, but handles spoon to mouth very well). She still LOVES pickles and noodles (especially Lo Mein from Bo Ling’s). She also likes yogurt and is developing a sweet tooth – she likes cookies and ice cream, but is just as happy getting her sweets from fruit (apples, bananas, mangoes, and tropical fruit cocktail).
2. Mikaela calls a banana a “my-nah”
3. She can count to 8, and likes to count with you alternating numbers. (You say 1, she says 2, you say 3, etc).
4. Mikaela likes to play hide-and-seek and tag – especially in stores, but also out in the yard with her friend down the street, a four-year-old named Lilly. Her favorite thing is to peek out at you and shout BOO!
5. Mikaela LOVES bubbles – she likes it when you blow bubbles for her (she squeals and chases them), she likes bubbles in her bath, and she likes to watch water on the stove boil (and she knows that it is HOT and not to touch it).

You forgot to mention she can also spell her name (alternating letters)
You say M, she says I, you say K, she says A, you say E, she says L, you say A, she says B, C. Okay, so I didn’t say she spells it correctly!!
The “Chronicles of Mikaela” just keep getting cuter and cuter. The ice cream cone shot at the zoo is adorable! Could there be a modeling contract in her future?
