Playdate

Mikaela had a playdate today with her friend Susannah. Susannah was in Mikaela’s class when she started at the CDC, but since Mikaela is full time and Susannah is part time, they’re not in the same class anymore. The girls had a great time together. First, Mikaela insisted on giving Susannah the nickel tour (so she could show off her bedroom). Then they moved to the playroom to play dress-up. First, they played Cinderella. Mikaela took the title role, and Susannah was the Fairy Godmother. Then they decided to play Ariel, but a dispute
erupted over who would get to be Ariel. We were able to end-run the dispute by breaking out the fingerpaints.

The girls produced about a dozen fingerpaintings. We’ll bring Susannah’s to the CDC on Monday - they were no where near dry enough for her to take them home with her. Neither girl was especially happy when the playdate was over - they wanted to keep painting.  But they were also both EXHAUSTED.
