Things have been pretty crazy around our house this month, and I’ve gotten a bit behind in my postings. So here’s a quick summary of the month -
When Miriam and Mikaela got back from Salt Lake City, we hit the ground running on a new school year. Mikaela is a “Bookworm” at the JCC CDC this year. She’s adjusting to a new class and lots of new classmates, as her October birthday puts her a year behind many of her friends from last year on the school calendar. She was having some issues with not being able to wait her turn to speak/raising her hand and waiting to be called on at school. But she’s done a great job of improving her behavior, and last week earned a new pair of dress-up play shoes and a new Dora the Explorer nightgown for her efforts (she picked out the rewards at Target). She’s also started new sessions of gymnastics at Blue Valley Parks & Rec and dance at the JCC.
Miriam’s pregnancy is progressing normally with no surprises. She’s in her third trimester now, and the little guy is quite the kicker! Mikaela likes to feel Mommy’s tummy and feel the baby kick, and she occassionally even likes to talk to her little brother-to-be.
I’m keeping busy with work, and have some travel coming up for the first time in a while. I’ll be co-presenting three sessions at the American Bar Association’s GP|Solo Section National Solo & Small Firm Conference in Milwaukee October 19-21. I’ll be home for about 24 hours and then turn around and head back out for a trial in Billings, Montana in an OSHA case.
And while I haven’t been so good about posting text updates, I have added LOTS of pictures to the September 2006 Photo Album. There are pictures from Marcia’s 60th birthday party, the usual life of Mikaela shots (including a trip to Macy’s to have her face painted on Princess Day), and pictures from Miriam and Mikaela’s trip to Salt Lake City, including the Zoo and the Aquarium.Â
